Katherine Ketchen, RBT

Behavior Technician

Katherine joins us as a Behavior Technician with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UMass Boston and a strong passion for supporting children. Growing up in a small farm town in Western Massachusetts, she developed early values of empathy and patience that were strengthened through her experiences as a nanny, caregiver for the elderly, and companion to individuals on the autism spectrum. Katherine has supported neurodivergent children in everyday settings, helping them feel comfortable, engaged, and understood. Her travels to over 70 countries have broadened her perspective and deepened her appreciation for diverse ways of connecting with others. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys hiking, spending time in nature, traveling, trying new foods and baked goods, visiting farms (especially spending time with horses), watching TV and movies, and exploring local spots. She believes small moments of support can create meaningful change and is excited to bring that mindset to her role at SGH.
